Valerie Harris Raupp is an associate and her practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on administrative and employment law. Ms. Raupp also regularly advises clients regarding employee discipline, drafting of employee handbooks and policies, and employment agreements.
Ms. Raupp handles a variety of litigation matters in state and federal court, including constitutional challenges to state laws, breach of contract and construction issues, disputes under the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection and the Fair Labor Standards Act, wrongful termination claims, and harassment clams. Ms. Raupp additionally routinely handles matters before regulatory boards, such as the West Virginia Board of Medicine, West Virginia Board of Nursing, West Virginia Human Rights Commission, West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Office of Judges, West Virginia Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and West Virginia Shallow Gas Well Review Board.
Ms. Raupp received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary School of Law. She was a law clerk for the United States Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, and has practiced in state and federal courts in Mississippi, Virginia, and West Virginia. She is an active member of the Virginia and West Virginia State Bars, and an inactive member of the Mississippi State Bar.
