Lewis Gianola has represented the region’s natural gas industry on a wide variety of regulatory matters and before local, state and federal regulatory agencies. These have included environmental matters, state public utility proceedings, governmental rule-making processes, and support involving litigation matters.


Lewis Gianola's environmental attorney is a former Senior Counsel for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and has helped producers and midstream operators navigate the complicated environmental regulatory requirements for the construction of wells, pipelines and related facilities. Our firm fully understands the environmental impacts of complex projects and has extensive knowledge of and experience in all aspects of environmental permitting, compliance and enforcement at local, state and federal levels.

Lewis Gianola also regularly represents natural gas producers in regulatory and permitting cases before the West Virginia Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the West Virginia Shallow Gas Well Review Board, and the Coalbed Methane Review Board.
